Nosferatu
Predator of the night
Damned to the night
Damned to the night
When leaves have fallen and skies turned to grey
The night keeps on closing in on the day
A nightingale sings his song of farewell
You'd better hide from her freezing hell
On cold wings she's coming
You'd better keep moving
For warmth, you'll be longing
Any day
Come on, just feel it?
Don't you see it?
The night keeps on closing in on the day
A nightingale sings his song of farewell
You'd better hide from her freezing hell
On cold wings she's coming
You'd better keep moving
For warmth, you'll be longing
Any day
Come on, just feel it?
Don't you see it?
The immortally damned, just as the origins like the werewolves. Vampires or the Nosferatu as they specifically make reference to themselves as are believed to be the descends of fallen angels. A corrupted and forsaken bloodline, that was cursed when a member of the fallen consumed the blood of a wounded human. From that point forth, legends in the many great covens through out the known world have passed down the myth. Keeping in withheld in the culture as a way of understanding. Even the eldest vampires don’t know the truth wholly. This vile blood has flowed down through all the Norseferatu, down to the very first created vampires.
For many centuries, vampires were believed by many humans and hunters to be reanimated corpses that needed blood to sustain themselves. This suggestion is half right, Vampires are the living dead and require blood in order to sustain their own unique version of life. The energy obtained from humans specially, perverse a youthful demeanor to a vampire. Without blood, a vampire will eventually die and become a corpse. The process of decomposition begins to take affect. The older a vampire becomes, due to immortality can go longer periods without the need to energize and feed, whereas younger fledgling vampires need to feed almost for 24 hours after going through the Siring Ceremony. In the weeks that progress, a newly created vampire will eventually be able to go a few days without blood. Another trait that all vamps share is the animalistic bloodlust. A vampire who has denied blood at all will eventually be driven into madness as they wither away. Bloodlust can also be brought on, when a vampire has completely overfed, in witch they might go berserker in any case. Bloodlust can cause an increase in both the normal strength of a vampire, however it’s more dangerous in younger vampires since the youngest seem to strongest for they’re first year of undeath. Though, all vampires are connected through the bloodlines of a single Coven, meaning that a newly sired vampire may not just have the blood memories of one vampire, but many. Blood memories are to be quite clear, the memories of other vampires, where they’ve been, who they are. Everything that makes them an individual is passed onto another, and so forth are the memories of the sired vampire.
Vampires typically obtain more gifts or strengths as they mature and grow older. The usually expected abilities that are common amongst the kin are superior speed, agility, dexterity, stealth, and strength. An equivalent of these powers are only the basics foundations, senses such as superior hearing and supernatural senses to pick and hone in on other supernatural creatures, including both other vampires and werewolves. Most of all the senses are heightened to an abnormal rate, which means if a vampire smells something it just won’t be a single fragrance, but many. They also pick up powers such as hypnotics gifts, that can place an enemy into slumber and even be used to turn a human into a willing puppet, but this varies upon the age. An elder vampire might have a more successful chance at using hypnotics through the glare of eyes, but most be close enough to the person in order to do so. Within the changes from human to vampire, they gain the second sight to see the blood flowing in a human vessel, and the vagarious temptation of a heartbeat. Vampires also have a humanoid, Bat like Gargoyle creature form. In this state, they take of the various features of a bat, with lobes pointed upwards, paler skin and often have crimson tinted hues in this morphed form. The creature form also has the ability of flight. In this state, vampires are nimble with equal strength to back themselves up. They tend to have an advantage in an airborne battle then on land. Venom is another tool used by them, it creates and accelerates the heat rate and imitates an Adrenaline Rush. Vampire mates, are also linked together through the usage of empathy, able to sense each others emotions to extreme levels. Mates are completely closer then any other creature, a tight bond that can even rival the pairing between werewolves.
This is also to take weaknesses into account as well, they are nocturnal creatures and avoid contact with sunlight at all costs. Sunlight is lethal to a vampire, able to almost dissolve the flesh as soon as it touches and ounce of raidance. Normal fire can also harm a vampire, doing enough damange to leave serious burn marks that won't heal entirely. A vampire burnt, will be reduced to askes, those ashes most then be scattered because a vampire might revive from their ashes. Scattering the obsidian remains is a way of ensuring that the creature won't be inclined to return. Vampirism is as much a gift as it is a curse.
In the physical looks, vampire appear as most humans do. Though the complexion of skin is slightly paler in comparison to a human skin tone. The deathly look is more then apparent noticeable with vampires. Most of them would stand out in a coward of people, but with the consumption of blood, a small amount of lively color returns back to their characteristics are restored for a short amount of time. When a vampire feeds, they’re eye color changes from it’s natural state in the iris to a vibrant crystal aqua coloration. This is also permanent with anger and overwhelming emotions of any sort. These are only small details, and finally the fangs of a vampire are hard to conceal. Even when not feeding, the fangs dominantly shortened but are elongated by several centimeters in the need to obtain and quench the thirst. All vampires are cold to the touch, a sign that life no longer remains in them.
Vampires are not antisocial creatures, they live within various Covens. Covens are closely orientated as a unified kinship. Lead by an Elder and sever Council Members to ensure balance and order amongst the lower members in that specified Coven. The Eldest vampire is usually the most wise and charismatically intelligent. An Elder, shares ties to all the vampires within one Coven, sharing the various memories of those that where sired. Rouge vampires are usually viewed with distrust. Not having any specific links to the other vampires, it sort of breaks the blood chain and causes an uproar. Vampires can be just as territorial in many cases in similarity to werewolves . Different Covens all hold traditions, each special to the lands that they came from, often reflected through architecture.
To become a vampire, the Siring Ceremony most be done. A vampire most drain a human to almost half the point where they are near death. This brings them incredibly close to dying themselves and in a certain aspect the human portion of who they are does leave. Then the siring will share blood with the person whom they desire. When the blood enters the foreign body, it acts as parasitical toxicants. The human Immunity System is weakened from being drained and allow this foreign substance to bypass the defenses that would normally fend it off. In a series of days following the Siring Ceremony, the person begins to slowly die from within, which is an agonizing experience. As the body dies, new characteristics develop in that person, most of the vamperic traits. During the instance that the vampire changes a human through the method of siring, memories are shared through the blood, passed on to fledgling to be.
